COLUMBIA COUNTY, WI — Multiple crashes involving semi-trailer trucks were reported Thursday morning on Interstate 39 near Poynette, according to TMJ4.
The accidents occurred on a span of I-39 at County Road CS. The series of crashes was reported by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation at about 5:00 a.m.
Details remain limited, but authorities indicated at least five semi-trailer trucks ran off the roadway, causing a traffic backup during rush hour.
Video captured at the scene shows wreckage and debris on both sides of the interstate.
At 12:39 p.m., TMJ4 reported the lanes had since reopened. As of this writing, authorities have not disclosed any details regarding potential injuries.
