MILWAUKEE, WI — A man died last Friday night after a vehicle collided with a building in Milwaukee’s Clock Tower Acres neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police said the wreck occurred in the area of South 2nd Street and West Maple Street, east of Interstate 94, just before 9:00 p.m.
According to authorities, the man was driving a Jeep Liberty southbound on 2nd Street at high speeds. At one point, the vehicle veered toward and crashed into the building. Moments later, the vehicle caught fire.
The male driver died at the scene, confirmed the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office.
It remains unclear what led up to the crash, but Milwaukee Police said no one else was in the vehicle at the time, and no other injuries were reported.
