KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 9-month-old girl and a 4-year-old boy died last Friday night after a two-vehicle wreck off Wisconsin Highway 31 in Pleasant Prairie, according to TMJ4.
The fatal collision occurred near Springbrook Road, north of the Illinois state line, at around 8:30 p.m. Pleasant Prairie Police responded to the scene shortly after.
Authorities said officers worked to extricate the two children from a vehicle and immediately applied life-saving measures.
Both children, who suffered life-threatening injuries, were rushed along with their parents to an area hospital. The kids later died at the hospital, confirmed officials. No information on the condition of their parents has been disclosed.
At this time, the circumstances of the accident remain unclear. An investigation was in progress.
