RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 5-year-old boy died last Thursday, October 13, after being struck by a vehicle near a Racine intersection, according to TMJ4.
The fatal incident occurred in the area of North Memorial Drive and Prospect Street at around 8:20 p.m.
Racine Police said a young girl had initially run out into the road, blocking traffic in the area. The girl eventually moved out of the roadway after being asked by officers. Shortly after traffic began moving again, the young boy darted out into the roadway and was hit by a southbound vehicle whose driver did not see the child.
