RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 64-year-old woman was hospitalized Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a west Racine home, according to Daily Badger Bulletin.

The incident occurred in the 800 block of Kentucky Street and was first reported at around 6:55 p.m.

Racine Police said an 85-year-old man was behind the wheel of a vehicle when he accidentally drove forward instead of reversing out of driveway. His vehicle then struck a woman and pinned her against a parked car.

The victim was transported by Flight for Life to a local hospital, where her condition remains undisclosed.

An investigation was underway, but RPD Sergeant Kristi Wilcox said “no known mitigating factors” were involved.
