CALUMET COUNTY, WI — A power outage was reported Tuesday after a vehicle struck and damaged a utility pole in west New Holstein, according to Seehafer News.
The accident happened at the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and Plymouth Street, east of New Holstein Municipal Airport.
Few details have been provided at this time, but a photo shared by New Holstein Utilities shows the power pole broken in two at the base.
It was not immediately clear how many customers were impacted by the outage.
As of 8:30 p.m. that evening, the company’s crews were still working on repairs and restoring power to the area.
Local police have not said whether any charges are expected to be filed or whether anyone was injured.
