Deputies with the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, fire crews, and EMS responded to the scene at around 8:51 p.m.
Officials learned the victim was standing in a travel lane near his 2003 Cadillac CTS with no lights activated. At one point, he was struck by a 2021 Chevrolet Traverse driven by a 26-year-old Reedsville woman.
First responders pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
No injuries to the female driver or any of her passengers were reported. The victim’s sole passenger was also not reported injured.
Multiple other agencies, including the Kiel Police Department and Kiel Fire Department, assisted at the scene.
