GREEN BAY, WI — A 55-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday night after being struck by a vehicle in Green Bay’s east side, according to WTAQ.
The incident took place in the 400 block of South Webster Avenue, shortly after 10:00 p.m.
Few details have been released at this time, but witnesses told Green Bay Police the man was attempting to cross the street on foot when he was hit. The striking vehicle then fled the scene without stopping.
Officials said the victim suffered life-threatening injuries. As of this writing, no updates on his condition have been disclosed.
An investigation and search for the driver remains ongoing.
