RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 37-year-old Kenosha man died Sunday night after a rollover crash that injured a woman on Wisconsin Highway 11 in the Village of Union Grove, reports TMJ4.

Deputies with the Racine County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene in the 17500 block of the highway (Durand Avenue) shortly after 10:00 p.m.

A preliminary investigation found the man was driving a red 2013 Cadillac SUV westbound when the vehicle drifted past the center line and traveled into a ditch on the road’s south side.

Officials said the SUV rolled multiple times before coming to a rest on its roof. The male driver, who was ejected during the rollover, was later found deceased outside the vehicle.

His passenger, a 25-year-old Union Grove woman, was transported to a local hospital. No details on her injuries have been shared, but she is expected to survive, authorities said.

An investigation by the Sheriff’s Major Crash Assistance Team was underway, but deputies noted they discover “open intoxicants” in the wreckage.
