WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — A man died Sunday afternoon after a single-vehicle accident off County Highway D near Barton, reports TMJ4.
The fatal wreck occurred near the intersection with Glacier Drive at about 1:00 p.m.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a man was driving a truck when he veered off the roadway and through a cornfield. At one point, his vehicle struck an embankment and then collided with a tree.
Responding deputies administered life-saving measures on the male driver, who was found not breathing, but he died from his injuries at the scene.
At this time, the cause of the crash has not been disclosed, and the sheriff’s office has not released further details on the event.
