RACINE COUNTY, WI — A 52-year-old man was critically injured late Friday night in a rollover wreck on Wisconsin Highway 20 near rural Mount Pleasant, according to WLIP.
The accident happened on a span of highway between Oak Hills Drive and Weber Road at about 10:45 p.m.
An early investigation shows the man, a resident of Racine, was driving an SUV when he veered off the roadway. Moments later, the vehicle hit a culvert and overturned into a nearby ditch.
First responders rushed the male driver by Flight For Life to an area hospital. No updates on his condition have been released, but officials said the victim suffered “severe” injuries.
Crews worked the scene for over four hours in the aftermath of the wreck.
An investigation remains in progress, but impairment does not appear to be a factor at this time.
