MILWAUKEE, WI — Three teenagers were critically hurt Tuesday evening due to a high-speed crash on West Good Hope Road in northwest Milwaukee, reports TMJ4.

The collision occurred near the intersection with North 48th Street, south of The University Club of Milwaukee, in the city’s Town & Country Manor area. Milwaukee Police responded to the scene shortly after 5:39 p.m.

According to authorities, a 2018 Hyundai Elantra was heading eastbound on West Good Hope Road at high speeds. At one point, it collided with a tree, causing the vehicle to break into two pieces.

The vehicle’s three occupants, one 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds, all suffered critical injuries.

The MPD said the Elantra had been stolen in Wauwatosa, but noted the crash was not caused by a police chase.
