MILWAUKEE, WI — Two women and an 11-month-old baby were injured Saturday evening in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash near Milwaukee’s Humboldt Park, reports WISN.
The incident occurred near Park Road and South Howell Avenue, in the city’s Bay View neighborhood, while local children had already begun trick-or-treating in advance of Halloween. It was first reported at around 6:30 p.m.
According to the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office, a female driver in a dark-colored SUV was traveling at a high rate of speed on Park Road. As the driver neared South Howell Avenue, her vehicle struck a 37-year-old woman who was leaving her car, and then a 40-year-old woman who was pushing a baby in a stroller.
Officials said the driver fled the scene without stopping. As of this writing, the MCSO continues to search for the suspect.
