MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were injured, one seriously, Thursday morning in a crash involving a large semi-truck in downtown Milwaukee, according to CBS58.

The wreck occurred near West McKinley Avenue and North Dr. Martin Luther King Drive in the city’s Haymarket neighborhood. It was first reported at about 9:15 a.m.

Officials have not said what led up to the accident, but a 32-year-old driver in a passenger car hit the back of the semi driven by a 52-year-old man.

A photo taken at the scene shows the dark-colored car partially stuck underneath the back of the semi’s trailer.

Responding crews had to cut parts of the car to extricate its driver, who was rushed to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The semi driver also suffered undisclosed injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

No pending charges have been reported, and no other details have been shared at this time.
