News: 1 killed, 1 seriously hurt in NW Milwaukee crash, speeding driver arrested

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 30-year-old man faces charges following a two-vehicle wreck that left another man dead and seriously injured a woman in northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.

The fatal crash occurred near North 27th Street and West Roosevelt Drive, in the city’s Garden Homes neighborhood. It was first reported shortly before 10:30 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates the 30-year-old man was driving at high speeds on West Roosevelt Drive when his car hit another vehicle at the intersection.

The driver of the struck vehicle, a 47-year-old man, succumbed to his injuries at the scene, confirmed the Milwaukee Police Department.

Medics rushed his passenger, a 31-year-old woman, to an area hospital where she was listed in serious condition.

The driver of the striking vehicle was arrested. At this time, charges are being reviewed by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office. Officials have not confirmed the nature of those charges.
