MILWAUKEE, WI — One person died late Friday after a two-vehicle wreck that injured multiple others in Milwaukee’s Saveland Park neighborhood, reports TMJ4.

The accident happened at the intersection of South 4th Street and West Holt Avenue, under the Interstate 94 overpass, at about 11:11 p.m.

A preliminary investigation indicates a 38-year-old man was driving eastbound on Holt Avenue when his vehicle struck another vehicle carrying four people.

Milwaukee Police said the driver of the second vehicle, a 28-year-old man, died as a result of his injuries. His three passengers, a 27-year-old man, a 20-year-old man, and a 23-year-old woman, all received medical treatment at the scene. It was unclear whether they had to be transported to a hospital.

Officials did not say whether the first driver was seriously hurt, but he was taken into custody after a gun was recovered in the aftermath.

An investigation remains underway, and charges are expected to be filed.
