RACINE COUNTY, WI — A man died Sunday morning after a collision that hurt two other people on County Highway KR near Mount Pleasant, according to FOX 6 Milwaukee.
The fatal accident happened at the intersection with Wisconsin Highway 31. Local police responded to the scene at around 10:30 a.m.
An early investigation indicates a male driver in a beige Chrysler failed to yield the right of way as he turned left from eastbound County Highway KR to the northbound lanes of WIS-31. The Chrysler then collided with a black Chevrolet, and both vehicles came to rest in the intersection.
Despite life-saving measures from responding officers, the driver of the Chrysler died from his injuries at the scene.
The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet were both transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
An investigation remains underway, but officials said neither drugs nor alcohol appear to have been factors.
