JEFFERSON COUNTY, WI — One person was killed Friday morning when their motorcycle collided with a tree along County Road E in the Town of Concord, according to TMJ4.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal wreck occurred south of interstate 94 and shortly before 6:00 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows the person was riding a motorcycle northbound at a high rate of speed when the bike traveled off the roadway and struck a tree.
The victim died from their injuries at the scene, confirmed officials.
At this time, no details about the rider or other circumstances behind the crash have been released.
Multiple agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Watertown Police Department, and officials with the Jefferson County Medical Examiner, were at the scene.
An investigation remains ongoing.
