News: Hundreds lose power after crash on Green Bay’s west side

GREEN BAY, WI — A driver struck a utility pole Saturday afternoon on Green Bay’s west side, causing hundreds of Wisconsin Public Service customers to lose power, according to WNCY.

The single-vehicle accident occurred in the area of Ashland Avenue and Dousman Street at about 3:34 p.m.

Green Bay Police have not shared details on the circumstances behind the event, but officials said a power pole was damaged as a result.

Hundreds of WPS customers in the area were left without power for hours. Crews were working to clear the scene and restore service.

At this time, no pending charges or citations have been reported.
