The fatal accident happened on County Highway X at Old Rail Road, at about 10:42 a.m.

According to the Marinette County Sheriff’s Office, the man was driving southbound on Old Rail Road when he failed to stop at the sop sign. Moments after his vehicle entered the intersection, it was hit by an eastbound pickup truck.

Officials said the man, who was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
