MILWAUKEE, WI — A 55-year-old man was hospitalized Thursday morning after being struck by a car while riding a bicycle in northwest Milwaukee’s Valhalla area, reports TMJ4.
The crash happened near the intersection of West Fond Du Lac Avenue and West Silver Spring Drive, just west of Wisconsin Highway 145, at about 7:00 a.m.
According to the Milwaukee Police Department, the man was traveling across the street on his bike when he was hit by a vehicle making a right turn.
The cyclist suffered serious injuries and was rushed to a local hospital where he was listed in critical condition.
No details on the driver have been shared, but they stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. No charges or citations have been reported as of this writing.
An investigation by the MPD remains ongoing.
