MILWAUKEE, WI — A 34-year-old woman was cited early Wednesday after crashing her vehicle into a construction zone on Interstate 43 in Milwaukee’s north side, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office said the wreck occurred near West Hampton Avenue.
Details remain limited, but the woman’s vehicle entered an uncompleted onramp that was shut down. Officials arrived on the scene to find the crashed car hanging over the edge, and in danger of falling about 10 feet below.
The female driver, who was not found to have been impaired, was able to exit the vehicle safely. She was issued a citation.
No other occupants appeared to be involved and no injuries were reported.
