MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people were hurt Wednesday night in a crash that occurred during a police chase near northwest Milwaukee, according to TMJ4.

The injury crash took place in the area of North 34th Street and West Capitol Drive, shortly after 7:30 p.m.

Milwaukee Police said the pursuit started near Medford and Keefe, where officers spotted a vehicle that was used in an armed robbery. At one point in the chase, the suspect vehicle sideswiped another vehicle and continued until it collided with two other vehicles at the North 34th Street and West Capitol Drive intersection.

A 38-year-old man and a 21-year-old girl in one of the victim vehicles from that crash were transported to a local hospital. Officials said they suffered minor to moderate injuries.

A 3-year-old girl in the same vehicle was also taken to the hospital as a precaution, but was not reported hurt.

Moments after the intersection crash, four occupants in the suspect vehicle tried to flee on foot, but Milwaukee Police were able to apprehend a 21-year-old man.

An investigation and search for the other three suspects remains ongoing.
