KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 64-year-old man died Tuesday afternoon after a head-on collision on County Highway F near Salem Lakes, according to TMJ4.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office said the fatal crash happened as the man was driving a 2016 Buick Encore eastbound on the highway at about 3:24 p.m.
At one point, the Buick veered past the center line and into the westbound lane in a no-passing area. Moments later, the Buick collided head-on with a gray 2015 Lexus driven by a 31-year-old woman.
First responders rushed the driver of the Buick to an area hospital after finding him unresponsive at the scene. He was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Lexus suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether she was transported to a hospital.
Officials noted both vehicles were significantly damaged in the wreck.
An investigation remains underway, but alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
