MILWAUKEE, WI — A 23-year-old man died early Sunday morning after being struck by a pickup truck in downtown Milwaukee’s Westown neighborhood, reports WISN.

The fatal incident occurred in the area of 6th Street and Juneau Avenue, near Fiserv Forum, at around 12:30 a.m.

According to Milwaukee Police, a black 2021-2022 Dodge Ram 1500 TRX pickup truck was traveling northbound on 6th Street when its driver ran a red light and hit the male pedestrian, who was in a marked crosswalk. The driver then continued northbound without stopping.

Officials confirmed the victim died as a result of his injuries.

As of this writing, the driver has not been located, but police have released images of the suspected vehicle. The pickup is said to have amber lights in its hood scoop, flashing amber lights on each side mirror, and possibly flashing headlights. The vehicle should also have front-end damage consistent with the crash.
