KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — One person was critically injured Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle wreck involving another vehicle near southwest Kenosha, reports WLIP.
The wreck occurred at the intersection of Pershing Boulevard and 68th Street, east of Forest Park Elementary School, at about 5:20 p.m.
An early investigation indicates a vehicle had stopped at the intersection before continuing forward. A motorcyclist who was traveling in the opposite direction was also trying to enter the intersection at the same time.
While the vehicles did not make contact, the motorcyclist deployed a maneuver to “lay the bike down” and suffered internal injuries as a result.
Medics rushed the victim by medical helicopter to a Milwaukee hospital, where the severity of their condition remains undisclosed.
Officials said the other driver received a citation for “improper stopping.”
