MILWAUKEE, WI — A 71-year-old man died Friday night after a two-vehicle collision that injured two others in northwest Milwaukee’s Lincoln Creek area, reports TMJ4.
The wreck took place at the intersection of West Fond Du Lac Avenue and West Congress Street, at around 7:20 p.m.
According to Milwaukee Police, the man was driving westbound on Fond Du Lac Avenue and was making a left turn when his vehicle was hit by an eastbound car.
The driver of the victim vehicle was rushed to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver of the striking car, a 31-year-old man, and his 29-year-old male passenger were also both transported to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries remain unclear, but officials said they were both listed in stable condition.
Police noted a gun was recovered from the scene of the crash, and confirmed the 31-year-old driver was taken into custody. He faces pending charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
