OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A 27-year-old man was killed early Wednesday when his car collided with a semi-truck on Interstate 43 in east Grafton, reports TMJ4.
The fatal wreck occurred on the southbound interstate at Exit 92 to Wisconsin Highway 60, near the Grafton Commons shopping center. It was first reported at around 2:00 a.m.
According to the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department, the man was driving a Ford Focus at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended the semi.
The driver of the Ford, a resident of Grafton, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No injuries to the truck driver, a 59-year-old Milwaukee man, were reported.
All southbound lanes in the area were shut down for more than four hours during the response and investigation.
No further details have been released at this time, but the sheriff’s department continues to investigate.
