MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — A vehicle crash Friday morning closed the outer lanes of Interstate 41 near Mayfair Mall in northwest Wauwatosa, according to TTWN Milwaukee.
The collision took place on the southbound interstate (U.S. Highway 45) at Exit 42A to West North Avenue. It was first reported by TTWN at 8:35 a.m.

Officials did not say what led up to the wreck or how many vehicles were involved, but commuters were warned of stop-and-go traffic four exits back to West Silver Spring Drive.
At 9:05 a.m., about 30 minutes after the first report, only one left lane appeared to remain blocked.
