OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — One person died Tuesday evening after their pickup truck rolled over on Interstate 43 near east Grafton, according to TMJ4.
The fatal accident took place on the northbound interstate at Exit 92 to Wisconsin Highway 60 (Washington Street/Ulao Road/County Highway Q), south of the Grafton Commons shopping center. It was first reported shortly after 6:00 p.m.
A preliminary investigation found a Ford F-450 Utility truck was heading northbound on the interstate when, for reasons still unknown, it veered into an impact attenuator and overturned.
The driver and sole occupant of the pickup truck died as a result of their injuries.
A right northbound lane and the entire offramp to WIS-60 were shut down as crews worked to replace the attenuator.
Multiple agencies, including the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department, Ozaukee County Highway Department, as well as Grafton Police and Fire crews, responded to the scene.
