MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — One person was injured Wednesday morning in two separate wrecks involving nine vehicles on Interstate 41 near Wauwatosa, reports TMJ4.
The events unfolded on the northbound interstate at West Center Street, near Wauwatosa West High School. They were first reported by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office at 6:44 a.m.
It was unclear what led up to either crash, but one person suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities did not say whether the patient had to be transported to a hospital.
Two out of three northbound lanes were shut down in the aftermath. While traffic was getting by through a single lane, the closure caused a significant backup in the area. Motorists were asked to proceed with caution.
