CALUMET COUNTY, WI — A 48-year-old man has died following a fiery rollover wreck early Monday on County Road A in New Holstein, according to WHBL.

The Calumet County Sheriff’s Office said the single-vehicle collision occurred north of Foundry Road, shortly after 2:30 a.m.

An early investigation indicates a 33-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a car that veered off the road before it overturned and caught fire.

First responders worked quickly to remove the male victim from the burning car and administer life-saving measures. He was rushed to a local hospital, but succumbed to his injuries Wednesday, July 27.

Another male passenger was taken to a hospital with undisclosed injuries but has since been released.

The driver, who was not reported injured, is believed to have been intoxicated and speeding at the time of the crash.
