MILWAUKEE, WI — A 40-year-old woman died early Friday morning after a single-vehicle collision in downtown Milwaukee’s East Town neighborhood, reports TMJ4.
Milwaukee Police responded to the scene in the area of Milwaukee Street and Wisconsin Avenue shortly after 12:19 a.m.
According to officials, a 48-year-old woman was driving when her vehicle struck the railings along the Hop Station on Milwaukee Street.
The victim, who was in the passenger seat at the time, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Authorities did not say what caused the accident, but the driver was taken into custody. Charges are being referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
