WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A 33-year-old male driver was taken into custody early Thursday after crashing through New Berlin Hills Golf Course, according to The Freeman.

New Berlin Police responded to the scene off West Lincoln Avenue and South 124th Street, shortly after 2:00 a.m.

Authorities said the driver had been heading westbound on West Lincoln Avenue when they slammed through the east fence of the golf course. The car then proceeded westbound through the site and caused further property damage.

Shortly after, officers arrested the driver, who is believed to have been intoxicated during the incident.

A damage assessment was conducted by the New Berlin Drone Unit, but no further details have been released at this time.
