OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 59-year-old man was airlifted to a hospital Sunday night after a motorcycle wreck on County Highway S near Pulaski, reports Green Bay Press Gazette.
The accident happened on a stretch of the highway between Hodkiewicz Road and Jaworski Road, about 4 miles northeast of the city. It was first reported shortly after 7:50 p.m.
According to the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office, the man was riding a motorcycle westbound on the highway when he traveled slowly off the roadway, causing the bike to overturn in the south ditch.
Medics transported the victim by medical helicopter to Green Bay’s St. Vincent Hospital. As of Wednesday, the patient was listed in stable condition.
The office’s accident report noted the rider was wearing eye protection at the time of the crash, but no helmet.
