DODGE COUNTY, WI — A 59-year-old man died early Wednesday after a single-vehicle collision off County Highway G in the Township of Westford, according to TMJ4.
The fatal accident occurred on a span of the highway approaching County Highway CP, shortly before 1:00 a.m.
A preliminary investigation shows the man was behind the wheel of a 2019 GMC pickup truck when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Moments later, he veered off the right side of the highway, causing the pickup to spin before going off an embankment and overturning. Officials said the victim was ejected from the vehicle in the crash.
Medics rushed the patient to Beaver Dam’s Marshfield Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.
No further details have been shared at this time, but an investigation by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office remains in progress.
