News: Driver dies after hitting MCTS bus in NW Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 60-year-old man died Sunday night after his car struck a Milwaukee County Transit System bus in northwest Milwaukee’s Capitol Heights area, reports Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Milwaukee Police responded to the scene in the 6200 block of West Congress Street shortly after 10:53 p.m.

According to officials, the man was driving a car when he veered past the center line and collided head-on with the MCTS bus.

The male driver, who was the car’s sole occupant, died as a result of his injuries.

The bus driver and their three passengers suffered minor injuries. It was unclear whether anyone was taken to a hospital.

An investigation into the cause of the wreck remains underway.
