MILWAUKEE, WI — A collision Monday night blocked two left lanes on Interstate 43 near Marquette University in downtown Milwaukee, according to 511 Wisconsin.
The crash happened on the southbound lanes at the eastbound side of U.S. Highway 18, or West Wells Street. It was first reported by 511 at 9:19 p.m.

Officials did not say what led up to the wreck, but the closure remained in place for over an hour.

By 10:35 p.m., the scene had cleared from the roadway and all lanes were reopened to traffic.
