WASHINGTON COUNTY, WI — Three people were injured Tuesday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Wisconsin Highway 164 near Richfield, reports Washington County Insider.
The accident occurred at the intersection with Hubertus Road at around 2;45 p.m.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, a 73-year-old Pewaukee man was driving northbound on WIS-164 when a red Chevy Malibu ahead of him abruptly braked and turned onto westbound Hubertus Road. After the Pewaukee man veered right, his vehicle was hit by another vehicle that was traveling eastbound on Hubertus Road from the stop sign.
The Pewaukee driver and his female passenger were both transported to Froedtert Memorial Hospital. WCI said while the driver did not appear seriously hurt, the passenger suffered injuries to her hand, wrist, and ribs.
The Richfield woman was also taken to Froedtert with chest and rib pain. Authorities said she received a citation for failure to yield.
