MILWAUKEE, WI — Three Milwaukee Police Department officers were injured Tuesday afternoon when their squad car was hit by a stolen vehicle in Milwaukee’s Midtown, reports TMJ4.
The incident occurred in the area of North 27th Street and West Vilet Street at about 4:21 p.m.
According to officials, a 16-year-old driver in stolen vehicle failed to stop at a red light and struck the police vehicle, which was occupied by the three officers.
All three patients suffered minor injuries and received treatment, though it was unclear whether they were taken to a hospital.
After the crash, the teen driver and their 21-year-old passenger fled the scene on foot, but they were located and placed under custody.
The MPD said the two suspects will soon face charges from the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
