OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two people were injured in a multi-vehicle wreck last Friday, July 22, on County Highway I near the Town of Cedarburg, reports Washington County Insider.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at the intersection with Pleasant Valley Road at around 2:51 p.m.
According to officials, a 17-year-old boy was driving a 2020 Volvo SUV eastbound on Pleasant Valley Road when he failed to yield to traffic at the highway. Moments later, the Volvo collided with a 2008 Honda Civic heading southbound on CTH I. The contact caused the Honda to overturn and hit a 2020 Ford Edge traveling northbound on the highway.
The driver of the Honda Civic, a 72-year-old man, was transported to Aurora Medical Center Hospital in Grafton with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A 45-year-old woman who was driving the Ford Edge sustained minor injuries but did not required transport to a hospital.
Authorities said the teen driver of the causing Volvo was not hurt, but was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
Multiple agencies assisted at the scene where the intersection was blocked for about one hour.
