WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — One person died Tuesday morning after a multi-vehicle collision that injured another on Interstate 94 near east Delafield, according to TMJ4.
Delafield Police responded to the scene on the eastbound lanes near Wisconsin Highway 83 at about 9:45 a.m.
An early investigation shows a driver in a pickup truck had failed to slow down as a traffic backup was forming and hit the back of another vehicle. The impact of that crash sent the victim vehicle into the car ahead of it.
Officials confirmed a passenger in one of the two victim vehicles died from their injuries at the scene.
One other occupant suffered injuries, but the severity of their condition was not disclosed.
An investigation was underway.
