OZAUKEE COUNTY, WI — An 82-year-old woman died last Friday morning after a two-vehicle collision in the City of Cedarburg, according to FOX6 Milwaukee.
The fatal accident happened at the corner of Bridge Road and Saint John Avenue on June 24. It was first reported by FOX6 at 11:07 a.m.
An early investigation indicates an 84-year-old man was driving northbound on Saint John Avenue. As he reached the intersection, he traveled into the direct path of a pickup truck heading westbound on Bridge Road, causing a crash.
Officials confirmed the victim, a passenger in the northbound vehicle, died as a result of her injuries. It was unclear whether she had been taken to a hospital prior to her death.
Cedarburg Police and Fire Departments responded to the scene. Multiple other agencies, including the Wisconsin State Patrol, also provided assistance.
An investigation is being handled by the Ozaukee County reconstruction team.
