KENOSHA COUNTY, WI — A 30-year-old man was cited last Tuesday after a collision with a school bus that left him in critical condition near the Village of Salem Lakes, reports FOX6 Milwaukee.
The wreck occurred in the area of County Highway W (Fox River Road/304th Avenue) and County Highway C (Wilmot Avenue) shortly before noon.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office, the man was driving westbound on County Highway C when he veered past the center line and collided with an eastbound school bus.
Deputies said the man suffered severe injuries and airlifted to Milwaukee’s Froedtert Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
No injuries to the bus driver or the four children on the bus were reported.
The striking driver was suspected of impairment at the time of the crash and has since been cited for “OWI 3rd offense, Operating Left of Center, and Operating a Motor Vehicle without insurance.”
