OCONTO COUNTY, WI — A 26-year-old man was killed early Thursday in a single-vehicle wreck off County Highway F near northeast Lakewood, reports We Are Green Bay.
The fatal accident occurred near Kollen Lane shortly before 2:00 a.m.
Deputies with the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office learned the man was driving a truck when he veered past the centerline, traveled into the south ditch, and struck a tree.
The victim, a Green Bay resident, was ejected from the vehicle and died from his injuries at the scene. Officials said he was the vehicle’s only occupant.
No further information has been provided at this time. An investigation by the Oconto County Sheriff’s Office and Brown County Medical Examiner’s Office remains ongoing.
