MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — Two people were struck by a vehicle last Friday morning while riding bicycles in a Menomonee Falls crosswalk, according to TMJ4.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Appleton Avenue and Elm Lane, near the Falls Plaza shopping center, at about 8:30 a.m.
An early investigation by the Menomonee Falls Police Department indicates the cyclists were inside a marked crosswalk when they were hit.
Both victims suffered minor injuries, but it was unclear whether they were transported to a hospital.
Officials describe the striking vehicle as a maroon Subaru Outback Limited Edition from 2017-2018. It is believed to have likely damage to its front-passenger side.
Details remain limited, but the vehicle was said to have been driven by “a white woman approximately 40-50 years old with possibly dark hair and glasses.” She was seen traveling with a white male passenger also between 40-50 years of age.
