MILWAUKEE, WI — A 7-year-old boy was hospitalized early Saturday evening after being struck by a vehicle in Milwaukee’s Muskego Way neighborhood, according to WISN.
The incident took place in the area of South 23rd Street and West Orchard Street. It was first reported by WISN at 5:49 p.m.
It was unclear what led up to the crash, but Milwaukee Police said a 32-year-old man hit the boy with his car and initially fled the scene. The driver was later arrested after going to a police station and turning himself in.
Medics rushed the young victim to a local hospital. No details have been shared regarding the extent of the patient’s injuries, but officials said he is expected to survive.
As of this writing, no information regarding any pending charges has been reported.
