MILWAUKEE, WI — Property damage was reported Wednesday after a wrong-way driver crashed into a restaurant’s outdoor dining area in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood, reports WISN.
Officials said the collision occurred at Crafty Cow, off Kinnickinnic Avenue.
Surveillance footage captured at the scene shows a driver making a right turn onto the road and then entering the wrong lane. Moments later, the vehicle struck two steel shipping containers that had been repurposed for outdoor seating.
The condition of the driver remains unclear, but they were seen exiting the vehicle.
No one was in the dining area at the time, and no injuries were reported. However, the restaurant owners said the costs in property damage are expected to exceed $20,000.
No details regarding any pending charges or citations have been reported at this time.
