MILWAUKEE, WI — A driver was cited after a crash early last Wednesday that damaged a restaurant’s outdoor seating area in Milwaukee’s Bay View neighborhood, reports Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The collision occurred at Crafty Cow, on South Kinnikinnic Avenue and South Lenox Street, shortly before 12:17 a.m.
According to Milwaukee Police, surveillance footage captured the driver turning right into the wrong lane on South Kinnikinnic Avenue. The driver then loses control of their car before striking two shipping containers that had been converted into the restaurant’s outdoor seating.
No one was reported injured in the incident, but authorities confirmed the driver was cited for texting while driving.
