MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI — One person was arrested Sunday, a day after a hit-and-run pedestrian crash that left a 16-year-old boy critically injured in Greenfield, reports WISN.

Police said the incident occurred in the West Loomis Road and West Edgerton Avenue on Saturday, May 21, at around 10:20 p.m.

An early investigation shows the teen, a Greenfield High School student, had been walking on the road when he was hit by the driver.

The victim suffered critical injuries and was rushed to Children’s Hospital.

The suspect, who had fled the scene without rendering aid, was located and taken into custody the following day. No identifying information has been released at this time, but officials said criminal charges are expected to be filed.
